The bottom line is light year wireless is not a scam. Although it is fairly new to the internet marketing scene, it definitely is not a sham. It is understandable to be skeptical of the light year wireless comp plans due to the fact that there are just so many scams out there that make ridiculous claims. Lightyear Wireless Compensation Plan Explained
This critique is intended to give a complete review on light year alliance (wireless) and its compensation plans and address the concerns centered on the company that may be lingering in your mind.
Lightyear wireless compensation plan truly deserves to be focused on here. Otherwise, what good would your researching be were it not for Lightyear's comp plan presentation. Upon signing on as a representative (or distributor), you qualify for a free cell phone. In other words, every person can get a free cell phone... provide you sign up as a representative and you take advantage of one of the company's wireless monthly plan.
Anyway, when you sign up as a distributor, you get compensated in several ways. You can get paid between 1-10% on your own personal revenue, 1-4% on 8 levels of compressed revenue, or from a bonus you get for each distributor you sign on to the company. This bonus amount can range from $25 or even up to $295 just by helping one of your referrals sign up 2 customers points in 30 days. I know it can get a bit confusing but the compensation plan is easily laid out and thoroughly explained in the weekly webinars.
In short, the Lightyear Wireless Business Opportunity system is a legitimate entity. It is a 15 year old company that entered the MLM realm to create an opportunity for the average earner to create and potentially increase their source of income.

To be a Lightyear rep, someone needs to have a tax id number or U.S. social security number and a U.S. address. There are people living overseas who meet these requirements and are representatives. Our services can only be used in the U.S. and PR right now, so someone living overseas would still be building a Lightyear business in the U.S.

What do people do with their existing cell phones and remaining contracts?

They can break their contracts and get new phones with Lightyear or they can wait to become a customer until their contracts are up. There's no requirement for someone to be a customer to join as a distributor. But if you can earn FREE service, why not break your contract and stop flushing money down the toilet?
I did a 3way with Eric Bechtold and Kevin,Eric couldnt answer my questions,instead he got "irritated" and rushed off the phone call saying he had lots of calls to make.For someone thats "making money every month",he didnt know much! Instead kept pushing me to read different things on the internet~ Thanks for saving me from getting involved with a "SCAM"!!!

I feel I got Rip off with him. Didn't gain anything with the money I spent on co op ad. I wasted thousands with his co op ad.

I see that John thinks Lightyear Wireless is scam. Yes, they do have some older cell phones. I have one and it works just fine. Do not know why they left you on the phone. Not nice.
I am able to have unlimited talk, text and web (data) on this old cell phone. Also get these cool apps and games too with it.
In other words, I am happy with it. I have a HTC phone. Loving it!!
Do you have to have the NEWEST phone out there to do all what I just said? No.
I am pushing the service/product more; due to the price is no different if you got it at your local store. But Lightyear Wireless has a Customer Referral Program where you will be rewarded with free cell phone service for sharing to 5 people. As a rep, you only need 3 people for free service.
You can not get free service at your local store and they will push the two year contract on you to force you to pay them for 24 months.
No contract with Lightyear Wireless and you have a chance to not have a monthly cell bill. If it takes you a year to get free service, you still saved a whole year on paying your local store for the same service you can get with Lightyear Wireless. Only need three people as a rep and 5 just as a customer. How many people in the USA?

I would like to know the total cost of this Home Business. It say's the cost is $325 to start, I dont want to join and end up paying more then what I'm told it cost (Hidden Fee's). Does this include the Cell Phone as well as the first months payment of Free Text,Phone & Web? Also do I get the automated website and all the other access they have mentioned.
Tony You seem to already be a happy business owner.... Can you please explain the whole start cost and the experience you've had when you first join'd this business? That would be helpful not to just me but for anyone else reading this.

The value in Lightyear Wireless is their cell phone service (Product). Their Business opportunity is only an OPTION for people to do.
Did any of you look over Lightyear Wireless cell phone service yet? If so, are any of you willing to be a customer? If not, then why are you asking question about the business opportunity?

Why is there value in Lightyear Wireless cell phone service? Becuase they have a partnership with Sprint & Verizon.
This allows Lightyear Wireless to use their towers to give us Lightyear Wireless customers quality cell phone service with better cell plan deals.
Sprint towers works in my area. This is why I am getting a signal with Lightyear Wireless cell phone service. Also I am saving on my monthly cell phone bill each month; due to Lightyear Wireless unlimited everything plan cost less than if I were to buy it from my local Sprint store.
To add to this, Sprint itself does not offer Free Cell Phone Service for just sharing their service to 5 people.
As a customer of Lightyear Wireless using Sprint towers, you are able to get free cell phone service by just sharing a service you like to 5 people as customer. If you are a rep, then you only need to share it to 3 people for free service.
Sprint & Verizon are two top cell phone carriers out there that people are already paying for. Lightyear Wireless is a mlm company NOT offering us a made up mlm service.
